Question 3/16" Mod...where do you get the piece-locally?

Hi Everyone,

Just stopped into Kaneohe Subaru to pick up my plates and met and talked with several WRX Owners there...nice bunch of guys there.

I am pretty new to this scene and have done some light mods so far to my 04 Silver/Silver STI.

1. Stereo Install
2. Tint
3. New B&B Cat-Back Installed today....this was an awesome upgrade. Sound is very deep and throaty...quality fitment and materials...3" Mandrel Bent Stainless piping...noticable power increase.

I want to purchase the B&B downpipe but am waiting for a CEL fix before purchasing...

Anyhow, talked to Jeremy there and he showed me the 3/16" mod as well as his silencer mod and intake. I am wondering where everyone is getting this piece.

Can anyone steer me toward where I can get this piece? I see a lot of WRX's running around town...I work in the Ala Moana area...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Brent

I just purchased the "3/16" mod" piece from one of the auto parts stores:

A couple questions please.

1. This connector says 3/16" vacuum restrictor. One end is a 3/16" hole the other side has a metal "restriction" piece in it...do I remove this piece? Is it suppose to be here?

2. After doing this modification, should I reset the ECU?

Resetting the ECU made a huge difference when I changed out my exhaust the other day...

Thanks,

sounds like you may have the wrong piece. but anyway here's some links to read up on.

It doesnt bother me, but "tech" stuff should be put in their respective forums. You could always use the technical redirect forum to bring it to peoples attention it's in a different forum.

Thanks for the links...I ended up taking the brass "restrictor" piece out and conecting in the connector prior to you posting a reply...it didn't make any sense to leave it in when we are trying to open up the pathway.

I appreciate the links...read through all of them and basically did what everyone else did.

I am resetting the ECU as we speak...I'll take the car out tonight.

Now to move on to other mods...maybe the silencer removal...

Thanks again,
