From an email I rec'd from ChipTorque:

To Patrick,
The 2WD WRX adaptor fits as follows. You need to remove the tail shaft from the vehicle. Remove the rear housing from the gear box and remove centre diff. Replace the centre diff with the 2WD adaptor and refit rear housing to the gear box. Refit the tailshaft. You will also need to drain the oil from the gear box and refill when finished. The vehicle is now in two wheel drive at the rear wheels. The 2WD adaptor is only designed for dyno use only and not for any street driving. If you have any further questions let me know.
Thanks
Matt Wilson

Wow. You thought the green monsters were a *****... This is something you'll have to do TWICE in one day after making hard dyno pulls. Not my idea of fun.

Even with the "core" group working on this.( not spending 1/2 the time b/s'ing) It would be a big time pain in the @ss to do it twice in one day at a dyno shop!

But we could do it.

Anyone think of getting an old trans to put it in so all you have to do is change the trans???? It might be easier.

Anyone talk to the man?

What about wrecked Subies, where do they go? I want to get some stock parts off of SCSI's car if he know's where it went. I emailed him already.

After the whole warranty thing that SOA is instituting, I think I'm just going to fix my own car from now on, there is no way in hell I can return to stock for "maintenance" or even valid claims(like my TGV CEL or window squeeking)

This is of course all moot if Volksgerman is actually getting that AWD soon. *crosses fingers*

Spent a few hours at Nakaz today watching my friend's car get dyno'd (results are classified - I didn't even get to see the final sheets - but it was HONKIN' on 22psi out of that mondo turbo). Now I've got the itch to get my ride on a dyno again.

A little birdie told me recently that it was doubtful that Volksgerman was actually getting an AWD dyno.

Hmmm, back to the drawing board I guess... Anybody want to buy a road dyno?
