2WD fuse box in '96 Legacy AWD?
ok heres a question... i was exploring under the hood of my legacy and found a small box labelled "FWD" that fits a fuse, so i put one in and now i have a front wheel drive car.... its kinda nice 'cause when i don't need the AWD, like on dry pavement or in autocrosses etc, i have more power and can actually hold more rev's out of tight turns due to wheel spin. question is: is it a good idea to run this set-up indefinitely? lemme know if u have an idea.... also, thinking of replacing wheelz of steel with stock WRX wheels, will they rub?
Hmmm....I think the fuse was discussed in another thread already. But basically, it is of the assumption that driving around in FWD mode is not good, hence why the manual says to use in emergencies only.
The WRX wheels should fit a 96 Legacy just fine, infact I believe some members actually have those wheels on that generation of Legacy.
