Steering wheel Vibration

SO I have been having an issue with my steering wheel vibrating like a SOB. It is really bad between 60 and 80. With the worst of it at 70 to 75 MPH. Does anyone have any direction on what I should be looking for. I have checked my ball joints and wheel bearings and all seems really tight. Some help would be appreciated and thank you ahead of time for any help I receive.

Did you check your alignment?

Mine did this too, and i found out a pothole knocked my alignment way off. The standard was supposed to be like 0.1, but they found it at 0.8 :O I was shocked.

Another possibility is that your wheels need to be balanced

Thanks guys. I am going to take it to the shop and have them balance my wheels and if that doesn't fix it I will be going back for an alignment or maybe just do both today after work. I drive on the worlds worst freeway patches (205 and 580) Pot hole city out there. How good will the shop be able to align my car with it lowered and I don't think the previous owner put camber bolt in for better adjustment?

Have them check your lower control arm bushings mine did the same thing. Your car is an 08 so its not likely, but its worth checking

How old are your tires? Are they balanced properly? I have had cars do exactly what you're stating from tires being out of balance.

Tires are maybe 8 months old. I get my tire work done at Les Schwab in livermore

I had the same problem with my 07. Apparently i had a hole in my power steering thingy, don't know the technical name. Ran me roughly 750.00 to fix, good luck.

Did you bump a 4month old thread with an update saying you had an unrelated problem?
