Steering wheel vibration

Hello everyone,

I have a 1997 Toyota Corolla (my daily beater), I drive it to work everyday and consuming at least 60 miles both trips. Lately, my steering wheel vibrates so much that it would numb my hands if I hold on. The steering wheel is also tilted a bit to the left. I asked couple of people, and they suspect about the tie rod being bad.

Any idea what the problem maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!

The tilted steering wheel has me thinking it's a bent tie-rod as well.. an alignment problem most likely wouldn't happen very suddenly like that. Hit any nasty pot-holes lately? I had the same problem when I bent one on my old Grand Am (was playing in the snow and ran up a curb like a dip****). I suggest getting it looked at and/or replaced if necissary IMMEDIATELY. If you bust a tie-rod while at speed.. you're screwed.

Probably alignment, wheel banance, or shock absorbers.... or a combination of those

Yea, that kinda worry me a bit, financially, I'm not ready to get it fixed just yet. I've done alignment and tire rotation last year, thinking it would fix the problem, but to no avail... also, I may have found a website regarding my situation

http://www.carcarecouncil.org/Steeri.../tie_rod.shtml

Hope this would help out other people in here if they do have problem with their steering section of their car.

Thanks for all the help!
