'09 STI Feedback?
Hey All,
After a year hiatus from my '02 Subbie wagon w/Vishnu stage 1 for a Porsche Carerra cab, I am missing the Subbie. The only car I'd consider selling the Porsche for is the new STI. I understand it's better than the '08 by a mile, but haven't found too much from owners and I don't see many on the road. What do you hear or have to say about them?

well....I love it, more room inside (fold down back seat, I can throw my road bike in the back), adjustable DCCD + power output (intelligent, sport, sport sharp).

If you want a ugly, slow, and a car that feels like a truck go with the 09m sti. the 2010 are gonna have some good change. or you go with the best sti, 2005-2006.

04caliwrx - I read that the '09's were a big improvement in terms of performance to '08's. Hmm. I'll have to see what info's available for the '10. Thx for the info.

Wow - I just read one article about the '10 version tested at Nurbering(sp?). Speculated +20 hp, +10 mph increased top speed, and possibly up to -15 second decrease in lap times. Holy crap....
I've had my '08 for a few months and I'm liking it. Sure its different from the previous version, but the power is great (in S#) and the grip is crazy for how supple the suspension is.
...there will always be another better car coming

Update - I got a new '09 STi - silver w/5 spokes. Love it!!! I'm sooo happy to be back in a Subbie! While I only have 400 miles on it and breaking it in slow, I can tell that there is some grunt to it comparable to my old WRX and 996....oh but with sooo much more potential. I'm already getting my list of upgrades ready
Any input on 'quiet' exhausts for this car that increase power? I had the Helix downpipe and Borla Hush on the old WRX and liked the tone/sound of that.
Will COBB Accessport void warranty?
Any recommendation on East Bay tuners?
