'08 Remove/Add Premium skirts possible?

I posted this over on COBB but I didn't get an answer, any of you know if it is possible to add/remove the extra bottom skirts that are added with the Premium/NAV package? Or would you have to swap the whole panels to do that? If so basically looks like a base WRX after that?

I'm considering a new WRX and it will probably be the premium for the stereo and heated cold weather stuff but I could really do without the extra skirts hanging down and getting caught on things. Who has taken a good close look under their Premium/NAV 2008?

Or maybe is simply isn't a problem? I was reading the STI guys have to avoid certain driveways but regular WRX has more clearance. I just don't want to be so low to the ground that I can clip the plastic on steep driveways or parking garage ramps etc in the city. Used to trucks that can drive over curbs at will but won't be doing that any more.

Yeah you can buy the body kit from the dealership... but the only thing is if you dont buy the premium or nav you dont get the rear difusser... havnt been able to find that for sale... i have the base model 08 and like it but my lady has the premium and i think its worth the money with the *** warmers and the fog lights and not to mention the surprising stereo... im shocked it actually sounds so much better then mine. oh yeah and if you plan on lowering it maybe the body kit isnt for you =)

Cool, so it sounds like just the little bottom strips are the additions in the kit you mentioned? So they should be easily removable...

Totally agree with you, the premium sounds like it is way worth it just for stereo and heated stuff.

I also plan on adding the homelink compass mirror, nice for the garage. Not to clear on if the premium already comes with the subwoofer accessory or not but adding that if it isn't. I might just go through subarupartspeople.com and put it in myself if dealer decides to upsell those items a lot.

I got the premium package and love it. I can confirm that by default it doesn't come with the Sub. It is a dealer add option.

The one that comes through Subbie is the under the seat model. I negotiated mine in at dealer cost with the purchase as an add. Depending upon how much BOOM you want it's not that full of a base. With the upgraded sound it's not that audible of a difference beyond the additional thump on the rump. It was a good addition for me but I don't like to rock other people away from me at stop lights either.

Sounds like just what I want then, thanks. I just want something to fill in the bottom end and give a little richness to the sound, don't need to be looking for more screws for the rear license plate. I also like that it will be more or less tucked out of the way and not hanging around in back somewhere vs. something aftermarket.
