Stuck shifter need help a.s.a.p
Ok the Forester's shifter is stuck. Its an `05 XT, auto. What the hell do I do? Everytime i want to go some where i gotta do some screw driver job to the shifter. Like the manual says to. Can't afford to go to the dealer or a mac.. So what do i do. Any help guys? Thanks.

Ok, got it fixed
If this ever happens to you. Check the break light switch first, before checking anything else.
You dont want to end up like this....
For nothing.
Its easy to check. Have someone watch your breaklights to see if they come on. If they don't. Than thats the problem. And an easier fix than taking everything apart. Well hope my problem and fix comes in handy for anyone who has the same problem.

You did one of the most important things you can do. Follow up. All to often people have problems they ask what to do and never check back in.
FWIW I was going to tell you to do that.

Thanks. Just thought i'd save everybody the time and hassel of wht happened to me. And yah I hate when people ask and don't follow up. Anyway forgot to take a pic of the foot pedal under the dash. So people can see what I'm talking about. Well hope this helps someone and saves the time. If this helps you please let me know and post something back.
