Just a brief note to introduce myself. I just purchased a 2004 Forester XT and absolutely love it. It's an automatic as my wife, who has severe arthritis, will be driving it a lot. Does anybody have any information as to how much slower the automatic is than the manual, which I understand is about a 13.8 quarter mile?? Thanx in advance for any information.

I also have a 1995 Impala SS with numerous bolt-on mods. Plans for this winter include a 227 cam and ported heads.
