forester fuel filter?

Talking forester fuel filter?

im wanting to change my fuel filter and i am supposed to find the fuel pump fuse and run it till it stops?? i cant locate this info in my book and i dont want gas spurting out.
can anyone explain how to go about this?? i have the filter and i know where its located ..but.. i do not know about this fuse under the hood or in the fuse box, it says nothing .

also, where is my o2 sensor located and is there a manual i can buy that will answer my questions???
im in canada btw.

02 sensor should have 2. one before the cat and one after the cats. Ive seen the fuel filter repaced before. a little gas wont hurt ne thing. just point the hoses up when you pop them off.

the cattalytic (spell check) converter. If you look under the car at you exhaust pipes. you will see 2 maybe 3 rectangular looking things in your exhaust pipe. those are your "cats"

then there are these little nubs with wires coming off of them. these are your o2 sensors. they help the computer compute air fuel mixtures do to gasses in the exhaust pipes.

just let the car sit overnight then do the filter there will be no more pressure by then.
