Whats the best intake

I have a 2000 impreza 2.5rs and I was wondering what was the best intake for it...I keep looking at websites from companies that make intakes for it but none have any cold hard facts. I heard the ingen cold air intake is pretty good...but how good...the two im checking out now are the short ram from aem and the cold air from ingen does anyone know which one is better or can suggest a company I haven’t considered yet? Thanks

Dont buy a short ram, its useless unless you are turbo. Cobb makes the best CAI for the GC8 2.5RS.

If you have the money, get the Cobb. If you are on a budget, get the PDM intake from www.pdm-racing.com plus a K&N. Short ram intakes lose a lot of low end torque.

Anywhere to buy a Cobb intake other than buying it directly from Cobb?

I was told to get an AEM... but AEM doesn't even make the intake for my car (2004 WRX). Why is Cobb better?

I was thinking of getting an AEM V2.....until I heard of cobb....anyonne got some facts and comparisons b/t the two?

Just search here and NASIOC for the Cobb. If you can find anyone who doesn't like anything about the Cobb (other than price) I would be very surprised. It really is that good. It's the only intake on the market that significantly increases top end AND midrange without losing anything on the low end.

I too was in that spot. I was considering the cobb or injen. I read that the cobb requires a little modifying to get it to fit, so i pciked the injen. I love it. Easy to install, and great sound. Visit subarureview.com
