Hi guys. I have a 00 impreza RS, and it's completly stock right now. I'm planning to do JDM V5/6 swap in a few month. I'm just wondering what kind of exhaust system would fit on the car with new engine. I've been searching for this for a while but I couldn't really clarify it. Though I just got more confused since I'm pretty new to car stuff. So, should I get catback exhaust/header/down&up pipes/etc that are designed to fit WRX/STI body? If so, would i get into any trouble installing them on the GC body? I'm confused and really freaking out here. If i get those parts that are designed to fit GC body, I think they will have some problem fitting JDM engine. Please help this poor newbie with ur generous answers. Thanks!!

 

You should be asking this in the conversion/swap section.

Having said that, since you're still a few months away from this project, try to absorb and read as much as you can about this project you are about to take. Do you know which Turbo you'll be using with this motor, are you going the JDM twin scroll or the normal route?

That particular ? will help out the prospective respondents to your question about which exhaust system you will need. GL
