Tranny oil filter.

I am going to change the oil in my manual transmission. I was looking at the instructions and it seems easy enough. I did not see anything however that shows or says anything about a filter in the transmission or how to change it. Does it have one? If so, does it need to be changed?

Car Info: 1993/2000/2001 GF4 mostly red

Only automatics have them, but those don't need to be changed. There is no recommended service interval. Basically they only get ordered when some genius at Jiffy Lube mistakes it for the oil filter.

yeah, that tranny filter costs about $35. we somtimes replace them when doing a tranny flush on something that has high mileage, or some sort of problem.
