Is somehting wrong with my 2.5rs?

this just happen recently, but when i go past 4000 rpm it feels liek i'm red lining it........... I feel like the engine is gonna blow up...
Does anyone know what's wrong with it??? after it hit past 4000 rpm, the meter goes back down.. it feels like no power after it goes past that..... Also I have a cold air intake.... is that what causing the problem.... is that how MAFS feels like if it's (no good)???

Does it feel like the engine is hesitating after 4K?
What meter goes back down?
What year is your car?

Try changing your spark plugs.

the rpm meter goes back down.... and I haven't done any custom ECU tuning, and now when i drive it it sometimes does it around 3000 rpm.... but oh well.... i've made a appointment to subaru technicians next week monday.. hopefully my warranty
