Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Sleeper spec request

So for the young guns, learn from this post.

Recently divorced (lesson don't get married without protecting your assets), I need to keep a crappy 2002 Outback 2.5 EJ25. Since I am a member of the divocee 50% club(She gets 50% of what I make $$$) (Laugh now, if you get married you have a 60% of joining my 50% club), I won't be getting a new car soon. I also don't want to show up with a new car and have her knocking at my door for more $$$. With that, I want to see if anyone has done any engine swaps that are fairly plug and play for an my02Outback. Better still a shop that would do it in the North East. I am okay with a EJ20 swap, or STI swap with tranny and rear diff. I don't know what other engines would apply.

Perhaps, sacreligious, has anyone see non Subaru engines put into an outback, maybe a Porsche boxter or something? Toyota trucks have kits for US engines. So maybe someone has done something similar for subarus.

I used to have a my02wrx, and prior to that a my00RS. Now, I am back a few years later with this Outback. The goal here is to have a sleeper to get passed the hostile Ex.

The lesson for the young gun, protect half your $$$ before marriage. Otherwise, she gets the car and at least half you $$$ ;-).

Sorry to hear about the bad news. Good luck with the swap though!
