to Sleeper or not Sleeper

So ive been debating on doing any work on the out side of the STI. I know im going to do some suspension and brake work but im not sure if i want to do any body mods like a carbon trunk with no spoiler and the OEM carbon hood. So im just looking for opinions from every one. Any input would be great.

Why do you care what everyone else thinks? Its your car right? haha thats my opinion.. But sleeper definitely gets less attention, so if you drive like you should be driving your subie, sleeper for sure! If you like breaking necks because you care what people think, then go ***** to the wall with looks.

Well on the power thing. The guy i bought the STI from said that if you do even the slightest change to the engine you have to retune the whole thing. So if i were to switch back to unequal headers would i have to re tune because that seems odd to me. Then again this is the first boxter engine ive had so any incite would be great.

You should find out what your goal with your car is first, If you want power, you are going to add tons of parts like a full turboback, maybe an intake, maybe a turbo and injectors, bigger top mount or front mount depending on your preference and your power goal. With an STi, most people are satisfied with just a stage 2 tune which in most cases, is a turboback and intake. Intake isn't necessary though.

Well it has a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, an intake, perin equal length headers, and a perin turbo back. It dynoed 360hp with 410ft/lb. The reason i want to switch to unequal is to get the true boxter sound again. I think that just sounds better. I want to swap to a bigger top mount and maybe do a light cam adjustment. Im just trying to figure out if the headers would be something major that id have to do or if its just a bolt on and go job.

I don't know the question the the header thing but I'm sure you can do a google search and find that out. But if you are going to swap a different top mount and do a cam adjustment, you are going to be tuning it anyways so why not wait on bolting on the headers and do it when you are ready for those few things and then do the tune?

you have an STi. Sti's have been around in the US now for like 8 years. Hard to make an STi a sleeper if people know what it is. You want a sleeper buy a GC/GM body style and swap a STi motor and drivetrain in it. Like me!

I don't know. The last strange woman who tries to sell me something ended up being a cop and I have no idea what was in those baggies....um wait what are we talking about again.
