I have a 2.5RS (model year 2000) with 33000 miles on it, and there is nothing wrong with it what so ever. I was told by a dealer that my motor was blown so I bought an ati motor.. As soon as I tore my motor apart I founf nothing wrong with it at all. In fact when I took a piston out of it, and took off one of the rings to inspect it, I put it back together with the ring missing just to leak it down, and it only leaked 5 %.. turns out my timing belt had slipped, and thats why my car wasrunning so junky.. 1400 dollars later all I needed was a timing belt. Anyway I am willing to replace all of the piston rings, and hone out the cylinder walls, but I have no idea what price to ask.. I have been offered 500, but this seems a little low. what price shopuld I ask?
