Quick Exhaust Question

I just bought an 01 RS and the guy i purchased it from also has a stromung axle back that he said his friend with an 02 WRX had on his car for awhile. Anyway he said that even thought this was off the WRX it would fit on my car because the bends on the 2 cars exhaust are the same

Anyone tell me if this is true ?

It fits, but you need to have a hanger modified and the flange has to rotate. No big deal, a good muffler shop can take care of it for you. Shouldn't be more than like $30 for the job.

Well i have a megan racing exhaust for my 98 and its full cat back its got a 4 and a quarter tip and 3 and a quarter mid pipe and it sounds mean as hell but its 400 and thats the cheapist i have found that makes that great of a noise

Are you sure it's 3.25 and not 2.25? 3.25" would certainly be loud but it would lose all sorts of torque.

its actully has a lot more toruq then it used to but we messurd it i my self dont understand it but it is 3.25

was that the inner diameter or outer diameter? I bet it's a normal 3" but it's just thick tubing...I've never heard of a Suby NEEDING more than a 3" exhaust.

speaking of which, what are the diameters of the rs, and the wrx are they the same, or are they really close, becaseeu i saw flowmaster made a mid pipe back, or cat back, i could not tell from the picture but if all you have to do is flip the hanger then i may look into it, i figured go with something different then all the weed wackers i hear flying around my area.
