Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Will the headers be bolt on (like the Borlas)? And do you expect them to be louder or quieter than the Borlas?

Thanks, I'm anxious to see how these turn out.

Cool, Put me into the EJ22 interested in building up my engine list.
I have a 99 L wagon. Had sort of decided against power mods because it seems like there is very little available and that there is a lot of customization/ problems involved. I would be very interested in the type of packages you are talking about.

By the way how does one tell if they are SOHC or DOHC. I thought it was listed on that white sticker on the hood but I didn't see it there when I looked.

Keep the posts coming.

Hey Guys,

I got put on a few day waiting list so it will be closer to the weekend (8/7/04) at the latest before I have a set to try.

It is supposed to be a bolt on like the Borla’s.

I’m not to sure how loud they will be in comparison to the Borla’s. I plan on having a sound bite for you guys to listen to...

Currently the Price is about $350.00 for the set I ordered. I believe that this price will come down to about $250.00 - $300.00 as a lot of you are interested in possibly purchasing a set. I have mentioned there would be a lot of interested and I was told he would probably drop the cost... I have also mentioned to him that I might buy a lot of 10 or so if he charged me a bulk rate. So you guys can just get them from me if I have to go that rout to get your prices down...

I’ll try to keep you guys posted at least once a day so keep the questions and interests coming. : )

I did inform him that some I-club members might be interested and I told him to keep the costs down.......................
Please let me know if there are any special parts that you guys might want to have specially made and I'll try to get you a price quote. (Remember, his stuff is a bit artistic so any part would be a sweet upgrade)

As for the Cold air intake and Headers, keep checking back for updates and new pics.
Just a few questions:

Who is 'him' that you keep talking about (name)? Do you have a number so that people here can call him to get updates and such? Where is his shop located? What is the name of his shop/business?

Just curious! *This may offend* But it will seem fishy if this info isn't provided. It just seems strange to go from asking about what you should do to having a whole host of custom parts available at your fingertips.

His name is Cody Loveland... I ran into him a few weeks ago and he told me to come check out his shop... I had no idea that he was into tuning nor did I know that he was a Pipe and Turbo Expert...

His company is called Lovefab... www.lovefab.com

If you also must know, I am working with other Subau guys to learn the ins and outs of Subaru Engines and plan to Build an STI Race Car over the Winter... I am also working with some of my brother buddies that Know a crap load about Turbo's and Turboing... They are also going to some special School in Florida that specializes in teaching Mechanics how to custom mod cars. They plan on coming back in a year and we are starting a shop...
__________________________________________________ _______

When all is said and done with this project and the turbo project, I plan to launch www.subarformance.com which is going to be a Performance parts company catering the needs of the forgotten Subaru's like my 98 2.2L... Cody's shop will be my manufacturer...

I am a business man, if I don't know what I'm doing, I ask questions and learn...

My goal is to make sure that anyone with a Subaru can have fun tuning there car. You don't have to do a WRX swap or a STI Swap just to get speed... If I can't find the parts, I'll have the emerging Pro's make them...

Hope that covers most of it... : )

Myxaolyx, what’s your deal anyway? You have a problem with someone trying to help people out and possibly start a company at the same time? You act as if I was holding back a big secret or something... No, I'm taking a stand and doing something No one else is. I'm trying to get good parts made for our N/A cars...

I am his "FIRST" Subaru. It is my car I'm were using for testing and chancing blowing up to make sure these prototypes work... I'm going to put these parts and my car through hell so you guys wont have to. Also, the header he is making me is the only header he will have for the Subaru's, which mean he will need this one to make more. He would gladly make one for someone else, but it wouldn't be the same as the tested model. He also needs a car to make any other prototypes.

If I sound kinda edgy here, its cause you seem to have a problem with me... I'm just trying to help a fellow N/A Subaru driver feed some speed to their ride and possibly start a business if all goes well.

Maybe I'm over reacting, if so, I'm sorry bout this post. : (

Heads Up: Part should be in testing on my car sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.

I believe you or your buddy has to sign up with and get clearance from I-club to sell manufactured parts as a vendor. I'm just giving you heads up so this doesn't cause a problem in the future.

looks like your hooking your 2.2L up.. I got a 98 L 2.2 so far here's what I got.

Full Stromung SS Cat System, High-Flow Cat Pipe. Mid-Pipe, Dual Tip Muffler (www.stromung.com)
Borla Single Port Headers (www.ptuning.com)
Weapon-R intake (it's ok for now, might swap for GPMoto or Injen)
Exedy Sport Clutch and Light weight Flywheel (www.ninosautoaccessories.com)
Unorthodox Racing Pulley's (www.unorthodoxracing.com)
Torque Chip 2 (www.torquechip.com)
2.5RS OEM style spoiler (www.autoearth.com)

I think I'm done with my mods, i might get some V5 Sideskirts also but not sure yet and maybe new suspension. I was thinking of going turbo but I changed my mind. As my car stands it's pretty quick and a lot more fun to drive.
