Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Need some recommendations...

Need some recommendations...

I'm new in here and will quite possibly be buying a 2.5 RS in the near future (22b?) as I have been in LOVE with that bodystyle since they were new... my question is, wheres the "cut off mileage" as in..when does **** jsut start to break and the repair bills get outrageous.. also what are the common issues, it woudl be a manual transmission of course...
This is gonna be quite a learning curve seeing as how my background is in tubodo FWD dodges (Shadows, Daytonas, Etc) big lifted trucks and Jeep.. lots and lots of Jeeps...
thanks in advance..

With care (frequent oil changes) the Suby Boxer is like an Elna sewing machine ~ they will run forever. We just got (I am a salesman at a Suby/Mits dealer) a 2000 RS couple in trade. There are no less then three employees fighting for it right now...
It has 80K on the clock.

They are pretty much bullet proof... as for individual issues with individual years...? I cannot help. As I drive an '05 OBS.

Do yourself a favor and visit www.RS25.com that's my 'home turf' and everyone is very cool and helpful ~ you might want to post this again there!
