i dont think a stock internals 2.2 could handle that much boost, but you can start with an intake, UD pulley, exhaust, headers, flywheel, it may net you about 30 hp, i have yet to do header though, otherwise i have those mods

do a search on ebay motors and you'll find pretty much everything, just put in impreza, and it will come up with like 38 pages of everything imaginable, and when looking for headers, your car is a 97, so its a single port style, intakes, well they dont have a specific one, you'll need a basic 2.5 RS intake, and then a MAF adaptor, as for the UD pulley, anything for the 2.5 rs will work for your car, i got my flywheel off there also. but ive never seen another one though, good luck!

also, you aught to switch your tranny fluid (i think i heard you say you had a 5 speed) to GM syncromesh, if your tranny isnt grinding now, it will be shortly, this will take care of that, mine used to grind like crazy, now it doesnt do it AT ALL...so think about that too, you'll need 4 quarts, you can get it at any GM dealer, around 40 bucks for all 4
