MY98 and random tech cat

MY98 and random tech cat
The random tech is listed for 99-01. I was under the impression that 98-01 had the same exhaust setup from headers back. I have a borla header and brullen catback setup at this point. The piping is only 2.25 and its on a MY98 Impreza. Has anyone installed them on a MY98?

What vendor was listing it as 99-01? I too was under the impression there were no major changes from 98-99 other than DOHC->SOHC. Try looking for other vendor listing and see if they are listed as 98-01. FWIW I am pretty sure that it will fit your car.

The 1998 has a different mid pipe...Just get a 1999-2001 mid pipe and it'll bolt up to the cat just fine. This should hold true to any vendor. I have Gen IV Borla Headers, 1999-2001 RandomTech Cat, 1999-2001 Borla Mid Pipe, ScoobySport. They all fit together perfect.
