Cobb Tuning Stage 3 Kit N/A
I'm am considering buying the stage 3 kit from Cobb tuning. The Kit includes heads, cams, intake, pulleys, equal lenght headers, and catback system. The cost of the kit is $4300 without core charge. I emailed the Cobb to see if I can replace the stage 1 heads and cams with their stage 2 heads and cams. They haven't gotten back to me.
Please give me some info on this. Any thoughts or ideas

They can definitely do that for you. I would give them a little more time to respond, and maybe try posting our questions on Cobb's own forums located on their website.

Cobb is probably the most dedicated Subaru aftermarket company out there. Some dealerships even offer 'Cobb Tuned' Imprezas. I have their cat-back and I absolutely love it. The sound is low and you can barely notice it when cruising.
One thing to consider about their cams is that they are re-grinds. You have to give them your old ones when you install your new ones. The heads I beleive are the same way. This may not seem like a big deal but sometimes you need to put the stock stuff back on, for warrenty issues, reliability, breakage, etc.
They are the best Subaru tuners in North America and you will have no reservations about it.
Just be patient when it doesn't come for a month

I dunno. For that kinda money, i'd go EJ20.
But f you want to stick to N/A, I think it's a great setup.

It's about the same. The only thing harder about the swap is the wiring harness. But the advantage is, you cna make tons more power on a slightly modified EJ20 than on an NA EJ25.

Oh you monkey mod :P
Well, IMHO for 4300$, I would jsut turbo the 2.5, then do cams and the exhaust. Personally, that would do LOTS better than the NA stage 3.
A turbo 2.5 will lay the smack down on a mildly modded WRX just due to the monster torque and gear ratios.
