Intake Problem.

Intake Problem.
Well i was rinning a short ram intake on my 98 and i didnt take the second air box out where the second vacuum hose is. I just ran the mass air flow sensor from that and then the pipe connected on that. The vacuum hose is not plugged into anything yet. SO then i try to start the car. Starts fine and runs fine then like 7 seconds later it just dies. Does anyone know whats wrong? please help

cap the vacuum hose
98's are very tempermental when it comse to cone filters. I must have replaced the MAS on my friends car numerous time.

i got a short ram intake and couldnt get it on my car at all today i dont know if im just stupid today but any tips on getting it on and what to do with the afm i cant get that on would it run without it?
