Thats irrelevent, it is the PRM filter and 3" tubing that gives the cobb intake its power. It doesnt work on MAF cars without tweaking of course.

The 1.8 gets as much of a gain from just removing the silencer as compaired to a Cone filter, and free.

you should do what i did and just get a filter adapter from Cosmo Racing. it comes with the cone filter and the adapter to fit on your stock intake. the only thing you have to do to completely seal it is to make a gasket out of something. i made one out of a thin cardboard and it works fine. you can get the kit for around $36.

i got mine off of e-bay actually. the site is www.cosmoracing.com they are out of Canada so the shipping is around $5-6, which isn't a bad deal at all.

you could also just retain everything and just switch your panel filter to a K&N drop-in panel filter or Amsoil...and remove the intake silencer for the sheer joy of ripping it out.

when taking out the silencer what do u do to replace the holes?

well weres the silencer? arn't there 2 little smaller tub's on the intake one near the trottle body and another one near the MAF?

check out www.scoobymods.com look under 93-01 Impreza mods. You'll find it under Intake silencer Removal, or snorkle removal or something like that....
