Intake for 2000RS 4door
Just jut the 2000RS Sedan 4 speed AT, and started some modifications
For now I'm looking for the Intake Set...
I've send an e-mail to the K&N but their answer was:
"A small horsepower gain, to available space under the hood could be a reason we haven’t developed a FIPK kit for your vehicle" LOL
So I'm still looking for the thing....
Could anyone give me some idea where to search???
BTW: Only i-net shops will be ok, cause I'm in Moscow, Russia

COBB intake is generally considered best for absolute most power...Cobb Tuning
Ganzflow is probably best bang-for-the-buck...Larry's page
Avoid intakes that use open-element filters in the engine compartment. Good ones all pull air from the fender or by sealing and using the hoodscoop, as with the Gravel Sport.
By the way, welcome to i-Club...

Also I'd like to thank you for the links.... i'm already cheking for the possability of delivery to Moscow... trying to find the way to avoid customs cause they are a bit crazy here.... Final coast for my RS 2000 here was around 19.5k While in States it was smth like 13K.....
BTW... I could not get the second link going....
I'll try to attach a pic of my subaru made 15min ago hope it will work ))

I wouldn't expect 8 hp from intake alone. The real perks to intake are much better sound and throttle response. Light mods will add up and build on each other though- the total gains from intake, headers, exhaust, high-flow converter and pulley is more than each one by itself.

Intake
I also have a 2000 RS and used a K&N drop in filter and a PDM Racing fender wall intake from Canada. The installation took about twenty minutes. Noticed the difference immediately and then reset the ECU and it appeared even better then before. Best bang for the buck and finished really well. And most of all no loss of low end torque, because the OEM air box is retained.

Two basic rules to obey when evaluating said desired cold-air intake:
1.) Metal tubing is a silly thing to employ because of its heat conductivity
2.) Don't be one of those ******* that has an open element air filter sitting on the middle of their engine bay sucking in 200 degree air...

I have a DIY plastic intake I assembled for my 98 Impreza RS that I may end up trying to sell. It is very OEM looking but eliminates the so called "torque box" immediately before the throttle body...I'll post pictures soon and see if anyone wants to buy them (geesh talk about a small potential market...ouch)...lol
