Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

INJEN inatke today!

I found it here

It does say 2003-2005 Cold Air INtake though, dunno if that makes a difference

Intake Installation

2005 Impreza RS

I just got in my Injen intake. I've been waiting to get in for about two weeks now... But I have a question for everyone....

What goes into putting a Cold Air Intake on a 2005 Impreza RS.

If anyone has done this mod, I would really appreciate a reply.

Thanks

I heard that Injen intake is better than other brands on an Impreza

almost everything works on the 06 fromt he 05, except the exhaust. That has been completely redesigned, and custom work needs to be done for the 06 exhaust for now.

The MAP based cars respond to NA mods BETTER than the MAF cars. If you aren't running an intake, go to ebay, and buy ANY short ram intake for your car. I PROMISE you, you will freaking be impresses with your $45 investment.

(To be honest, I'd buy the intake for the pipe, and measure the pipe end, and buy a nice K&N filter to it. The ebay filters are kinda junky... so you're total cost would be about ~$80)

I'm running the OBX intake, it's a copy of the injen. Intake + Extra coupler + Plug for 4th (unused) vaccum line + K&N filter= $110

Haven't dynoed it yet, so hopefully I'll have some numbers. My car rips from 3500 to redline.

how low does the filter sit in the the fender well?

Exactly behind the fog lights? A little higher?

Do you have pictures?

fog lights don't feed into the fender.

that little small grille thing to the side f the foglight (at least on the older RS's) feeds to the fender. My OBX intake put the filter RIGHT infront of that small grille.

Hmmm

05 RS...you take the fog light bezel out and u can reach up top to where the intake snorkle is (was, in my case)

Simply put, taking out that bezel, my arm gets to where the hole in the fender from the stock filter assy.

So, if that pipe is hella long...it will eventually sit right behind the fog lights...

That's sweet!

Such a big area for air to enter. anyone make mesh fog light covers for the 04+ cars? that would be perfect for getting as much air to the filter as possible.
