whats up fellow I-club members! ok so I have a MY01 2.5rs and im trying to make a universal filter fit, SoOo... What piping size should i use? or am i able to just fit the filter directly on? will it fit my MY01 2.5rs? and the universal filters come with a 70,75, or 80mm flange, witch one do i get?

 

You may be better off using an aftermarket filter in the stock location and routing the hose to the fender. This way you are not drawing hot air from the engine bay. I did this and found nice results, cheap! See the thread "Intake mods cause irradic horsepower". Also be sure to read the thread about the different aftermarket filters to see which one would be best for you.
