Heat Shield Ideas
I've been thinking of something I could use for a heat shield for my intake. All I've got is a cone filter on a J-tube into the t/b. Anybody ever made anything like this? I was thinking of fabricating my own- similar to the lamp shade things they put on your dog out of some coated sheet metal....any suggestions??

There are a couple on the market already. I believe SPO Motorsports carries one. If you want to make your own, just make sure that it seals the filter off from the hot air comiong through the radiator and has a place to draw fresh air, like through the fender.

Yea I've seen that dragon. I personally don't like the HUGE commercial looking tubing though. I also want to keep the filter itself in the e/c s to keep it away from the ground. I believe that's your ABS module sitting in front of your fender hole and I don't have ABS so that whole area is wide open. I'll probably just bend some fairly cheap sheet metal to fit and give it some coats of....something? Also some guys on nasoic said I should try a snorkel type intake- any thoughts on that? I like the idea a LOT but wonder if I could get it hooked up for under $500....
Thanks
