I'm kind of a newbie to this entire high performance car thing...owned trucks all my life and never bothered to do any upgrades to them other than some suspension stuff.
I'm looking for a good exhaust system for my new Wagon. I'm not going to be doing any rally racing or anything
just want something that will give me more HP and a nice engine sound. The HKS Carbon-Ti sure looks and sounds nice, but so does other cheaper models. Also what is better..turbo back or cat back? Vishnu is close to my place (Milpitas)...maybe I should simply pay them a little visit? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Turbo back's basically can remove your cats or replace your cats with high flow cats. A cat back system will always start from the point of your last cat on the down pipe. Turboback, is a full system that starts from the exhaust housing of the turbo. I have a full cat back system that I am trying to sell right now with a Stromung midpipe and an STI exhaust that is from the dealership. I think is sounds pretty nice and it makes a good throaty sounds like the engine does. It does not drone either.

Go turbo back if you can afford it. Don't worry about the muffler too much as long as it's a performance muffler. The muffler is just for sound and not worth it to spend too much on it. Get a Flowmaster! They even got one that sounds ricey. Go on www.flowmastermufflers.com and check out the sound clips they got. Keep in mind you have a 4cyl.
