Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Cosmo Racing CAI for Impreza 1.8L?

I searched before posting and came up with mediocre results. I was wondering if any one has ran this intake and what their thoughts were on it. Looks decent and it is affordable

The car came with the intake box removed and a cone filter put in it's place. I've read here on the forums that certain intake mods can cause bogging in the low end which is what I am experiencing. It gets real bad when I leave a stop light, the car just bogs for a second or two, then moves on it's way. It makes for dangerous driving in congested areas

thanks,
Drimmie

Hmm, Seems like a cool intake but then again .. It's a company that I have never heard of and I am wondering if the negative feedback everyone on here is refering to is due to the vehicles having Force induced air?

if the diameter of the tube is small enough the bogging will go away, but you'll lose upper RPM power, i had this issue, i just learned to launch @ a higher RPM

Is there an ideal size for intake piping? 2.5" maybe?

I may just resort to making my own CAI since there isn't a lot of aftermarket stuff for this car.

Thanks for the reply
Jason
