Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Question Clutch Help!! 2000 2.5 RS

Hi all, I've a few questions about upgrading my OEM clutch to stage 1. If I'm getting a stage 1, is it ok to stick with the OEM flywheel? Or should I get a new one? My 2000 2.5 RS is stock with a few mods on the suspension, might plan to add a few things to gain some horse but not turbo for sure. So... ACT and Clutchmasters are my top choices.. Does anyone have any suggestions since I'm not an expert in this?? Any good deals I can find online??

you will be fine with the oem flywheel, but since you are opening up the trany. I would do both so if you change your mide you won't have to pay some one to do it again.

I'd recommend an exedy clutch as I've had mine on my RS for the past 4 yrs with oem Flywheel no problems at all, Ive had an ACT Clutch and found that its too harsh for normal everyday driving and didn't last long either. But this can all vary upon what kind of a driver you are...
