Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Clutch and Flywheel Replacment

I could be wrong but with 91,000 miles on my 2002 2.5rs I am almost positive the cause of my slipping on hills and jumping after gears is my clutch going bad.

Would it be best to get a real nice racing clutch and light flywheel? I mean is it noticable, and do the clutches really hold up while launching at high rpm's?

Or should I more or less buy a oem replacement?

The one thing I am worried about is everyday driving with a performance clutch. Everyone tells me it makes the car very touchy.

some racing clutches have a shorter lifespan so if it's a daily driver you'd probably be better off going with an Exedy stage 1 and lightened flywheel.
The lightened flywheels are known to cause clutch chattering beyond what you may feel with the stock clutch.
A race clutch may hold up to launching but eventually something will break and you would rather have a broke clutch than something in the driveline. My integra had a race clutch and traffic was a killer.

So the exedy stage 1 would be my best bet? Should I even bother with the flywheel?

or the ACT clutch. The flywheel is up to you, it will get the engine to rev a little quicker but it won't make a huge difference. If you have the money and plan to keep/mod the car then you might as well put it in since you are doing the clutch anyhow. It'll save you money with not having to open the tranny twice.

Depending on how much you love the car, you could trade it in for a bugeye WRX and it would be faster than the RS
