Better daily driver? 2.5i or wrx
OK I leased a 2006 2.5i that I am using as a daily driver but I would love to upgrade to a wrx. My question is which model is more reliable or would they both rate the same. I drive about 15 miles daily in all weather. Has anybody went from a wrx to a 2.5i. Help!!!
I've never driven a wrx, I have an 05RS, but it's all about what you are doing with it and how you drive. Your 2.5i is going to give you better gas mileage, and in theory will last longer (although if maintained and not abused any car can last a long time). If you are leasing the car and don't have any plans on keeping the same car for the long haul, then the wrx will be more fun. Really what it boiles down to is, is the extra cost of the lease, gas, maintainance and insurance going to be worth the extra fun you will only get to use (safely and without the extra cost of speeding tickets) on occasion? I say, stick with the 2.5i for now and next time around look into a wrx. That's just my opinion. Next time around I'm going for the Legacy, I don't like the cheap impreza interior.
If you're just commuting stick with the 2.5i.
I agree about he interior too. I just went from a Civic to an Impreza. The interior material quality is a weakness.
Cheers,
Terry
