Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Bad shaking help!!

Ok so i was going down the road after a bad snowstorm and the road still had a decent amount of snow n slush. anyways it was fine all day then suddenly when hitting around 60 mph it starts shaking but only when the wheels are straight. i figured it was the snow in the wheel wells so i got out and cleaned them (they were packed with snow). it was ok for a lil but happened again. is this just cause of the snow??? help!?

It happens to me when snow gets stuck in my rim inbetween the spokes, it takes the wheel out of balance.......but if it continues on a dry sunny day you might have a problem.

yea its just throwing your weight balance off.

Anytime I go play out in the mud, it gets caked into my rims and my car will shake at higher speeds.

Keep cleaning them out as much as possible. But like the person above me said, if it continues when its dry/no snow/mud in or on your wheels, then you might have another problem

I don't know if you guys have tried putting on some oil on your wheels before you go up to the snow so gunk doesn't stick or really freeze to it. Something like shortening. Sounds strange I know. I just thought about this since I don't believe the Crisco or whatever would freeze.
