Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Any thoughts on putting a 3" dia. exhaust on a n/a 2.2L engine? Advice is always welcome.

Thanks, have any suggestions? I am looking for something quiet, with the boxer rumble but that still gets the job done performance wise. I have found many cbe's for the WRX, a few that would fit but I am still (obviously) undecided.

first of all you need un-equal length header, i suggest bora headers I have them on my rs and they have a million mile warranty to back. as for a muffler spt makes relatively quiet one with that signature rumble. also check out product reviews here on i-club and youtube.com.

check them out to http://www.boxer4racing.com/

I wold say to try and find a WRX axleback [2002-2005 twin-tip]. it'll give your car a unique look, staying OEM so you know it lasts, and even on my car having Equal Lenth headers, gives me a rumble. try finding someone who is selling one on NASIOC or ClubWRX.net. you won't regret it. it is also a good enough diameter to keep the backpressure we need. my butt-dyno tells me, haha. you may also get that signature N/A popping noise after a certain RPMs and let go of the throttle. mine does it over 55mph and when riding 1-2nd gear and letting off, or flooring it through 1st and running 1/2 throttle before it shifts [4EAT]. it is also a very deep, non-annoying popping noise, and I usually get annoyed by any little noise, this is beauty to me

STi take offs (stock sti catback) can be modded by an exaust shop to fit, not a bad choice, if you can get one cheap. needs to be extended and the flange rotated.
