I went in for my renewal smog check, and much to my surprised I not only failed smog but also was flagged as a gross polluter. I have a month or so to fix it but before I throw parts (read: money) at the car, I'm looking for any knowledge that could point me in the right direction. The car is a stock 1995 impreza 1.8 AWD, with an engine out of a 94 impreza. I used the intake manifold and sensors from the 1994, if thats important.

I messed with the MAF and changed coil packs and messed with the EGR and it passed... thanks
