Hi all,

I was looking to buy a catback for my 2007 impreza 2.5i. My friend was willing to sell me his Tsudo 1998-2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS N1 Catback Exhaust System exhaust he had for his 2004 2.5rs for $100 5k miles on it. I was wondering if this would fit onto my car of if there would have to be any modifications (such as modding the flanges, mid pipe, or hangers) to make it work.

I think you'll have to modify the flanges or hangers. The 06-07 2.5i can run the axlebacks made for the WRX and STI without modifications so at least the axleback might need some modifying. I'm not sure about the midpipe.

This exhaust was made for the 1998-2005 2.5rs though. Tsudo doesnt market an exhaust for a 06-07 2.5i just the Wrx/STi model. I know using the 3in piping diameter means a loss in low end power. I saw that this is a 2.35in pipe diameter which is around the same size of the 06-07 2.5i. I just didnt know if the pipes would be long enough. I know that a stock/aftermarket exhaust system off the 06-07 Wrx/STi is shorter in some regions and modifications need to be accommodated for but I was unsure if the exhaust length from the 1999-05 2.5rs would match up with my 07 2.5i.

Your best bet is to physically compare your stock exhaust against the Tsudo. Put your car on jack stands and get under the car with the exhaust to see what's different.
