hi, i have an 03 2.5rs... im looking to add some extra power (who isnt haha) i dont want to do anything that is loud/annoying... i bought a CAI installed it and it sounded rediculous, like a tin can...

i have a K&N filter now on the stock airbox.

i was looking for a exhuast system, perferably bolt on, or a nice muffler (biggest bang for the buck)

i was also looking into pulleys... my car has 58k miles on it, and idk if its a good idea to replace it... and if i do replace it, should i have a shop do it? i have decent car skills (i can do brakes and suspension work, but a pulley seems out of my league)

any other suggestions would be great (and yes, ill also accept sell the car and buy a new one, becuase ive been toying with that idea too)

 

The pully's on our cars are stupidly simple because of the layout of the boxter engine. I have the SPT/Bosel exhaust on my 06 and its smooth, the only other performance thing i can think of that won't effect noise is ECU related. and ofcourse a short throw shifter is nice if you have a stick

I'd say do the pulley. I think that was the most noticeable performance gain on my car. Everything else kind of just made more noise. Haha.

 

haha yeah i figured as much... i ordered the pulley and ill probably put it in next week, it seems easy enough... just need to invest in a torque wrnech hehe

i was checkin out the pp6 and the greddy one... does anyone have anyexperiance with programing those for performance gains... think they work with a mac hehe?

 

If you learn anything on programing let us, I'd be curious in setting up some custom maps myself

 

if everyone wants to get together and buy me one ill sit and map my little heart out hahahha

but im going to consider one of those units... im going to do some research on them when i get some free time
