Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

07 2.5i Mods

So anyone have a 2007 and know of what mods fit? i'd like to know if most of the 2006 ones will work on the 2007 (i think it should...nothing really changed between those years)

also i was thinking of upgrading the suspension and most of the threads i read here talk about lowering the car for aesthetic reasons...i was wondering what would be a good setup for performance over look?

If you have the money:
Coilovers

If you don't have too much to spend, but for performance and looks:
Spring / Strut combo

If you want something that's temporary:
Lowering springs

Unless your racing dont get coilovers. Do a strut/spring combo, save some money. I like the KYB's but Koni's are good too. As far as springs go i hear good things about crucial, and the Eibach's are always good.

is anyone aware of any differences between the '06 and '07 that "might" cause an issue using parts from the '06 on an '07? (i know some mods from '04-05 work on the '06)

they probably won't make it for the 06' or 07' 2.5i.

Their focusing more onto the turbo cars such as the wrx and Sti model.
Stromung, DID include one of their axelbacks stating it fits for the 06' 2.5i. But other than that, I've seen very few parts available for our car.
You'd have to 'borrow' parts from recent imprezas rather than finding newly produced items for the 2.5i.

Just my 2 cents.

I really do not think there is any difference. All my parts I have gotten so far is from rallitek. They seem to have the biggest performance selection as of right now. lots of places have things for interior and exterior looks. I think 06 and 07 are exactly the same, I could be wrong though.

from most of my readings and talking to a tech at my dealership...they are exactly the same, so everything for an 06 should work on an 07 (that even includes the 04-05 mods people have managed to fit on the 06's)

but as far as brakes go would just putting WRX brakes on a 2.5i be enough stopping power? i don't see a need for larger rotors and calipers if the WRX ones will work

and what exactly is the setup on a 2.5i, i see people saying 4pot/2pot for the STi and stuff like that but i have no clue what all that means...is it how many pistons the calipers use?

Breaks are funny creature, for one just because you upgrade doesn't mean you'll stop any faster, after all you can't stop any faster the the wheels will let you, one of the biggest reasons people upgrade is to fight break fade 'caused by heat. Now as a spirited driver your prob best off just getting some better pads and after your lines wear some replacing them with steal bradded, but it is very easy to toss money into breaks and not doing anything because other parts of the car (like tires) aren't allowing them to work

Yeah man they made some changes. Some people have managed slap on 04-05 parts on it. Yo check my thread on "just got my rallitek parts". Got all my stuff from rallitek so far. They have a decent selection for 06-07 2.5i's, no longer "rs". What color did you get? are you still bone stock?
