07 2.5i Mods
Hi guys I'm new here and new to subaru. I just bought my 2007 2.5i in october from irvine subaru. Anyhoo I think i'm ready to mod my car a bit with an exhaust and a intake. My question is that i'm going to buy the 2.5i exhaust system directly from subaru. Does anyone know what it will sound like? should I expect that high pitch sound or the deeper rumble heard in a wrx?
sorry if thats a stupid question, I dont have the name of the exhaust with me at the moment but its the one out of subarus new parts catalog.

That would be the SPT exhaust, (Subaru Performance Technica). It should give it a lil more aggressive sound then what the stock gives. Before you go doing that though, I would deffinitely take a look at your options first. I'm not knockin the SPT exhaust, but you may find something you like better, specially in the looks department. My 2 cents. Congrats on joining the Subaru family. Also, anything for a 2006 will fit a 2007.

I've got the Injen, when i ran it as a short it was really loud, but recently I took the time to swap it over the the CAI and it really toned it down as well, at wide open its not al that loud at all anymore and at idle you can barely hear anything
not loud? dood when I punch it my injen CAI gets loud as hell. when driving normal you barely hear it. When I stomp on it and it hits around 3,500-4,000 rpm's that thing is freagin roarin dood. Loudest CAI i have ever heard...my opinion.
do the free intake resonater delete, axle back, coilovers, swaybars (coilovers improve looks alot, but sway bars make a bigger handling difference) lightweight pulley and flywheel. Great sounds, Great handling, Great acceleration.
