When 06 models throw cels, the cruise light comes on along with the check engine. This will temporarly turn your cruise control off. It's time for a mechanical fix and then reset the ecu.

Talking Welcome to the world of mods...

Yup, when you throw a cel, the Check Engine Light (CEL) comes on solid amber and the cruise control light (green) flashes...your cruise control will also not work as you described...

1. You can reset it, knowing it will come back sooner or later, by disconnecting your battery terminal and pressing down on the brake pedal 3 times...reconnect the battery terminal. You won't know what code you threw...

2. You can go to your nearest Checkers or Autozone and borrow their equipment to reset your CEL and check the code...

3. Or you can use your Cobb AP to check, reset, and put it back to Stg 2!

Most people get a mechanical fix to install on their dp o2 sensor bung...others use resistors...while others still like myself, use a Cobb AP that ignores certain CEL codes...I still do get some CEL's with my newly acquired 3.5" APS Monster! No big deal...

Nice choice on the exhaust, I bought an APS 3-inch and love every minute of it.

^^^Yeah...Mechanical

fixes seem to work pretty well...it just pulls the 02 sensor away from the mainstream exhaust...go to one of your local meets to see where everyone is getting their's from...Ebay is typically a good source.

What you have to watch out for is the location of your 02 sensor...some dp's, like my APS, have the 02 bung in a weird position, making it difficult for me to install a normal 02 mechanical fix...I have to use a 90 degree elbow one...look under your car and make sure you have the clearance...the combined length of the mechanical fix/02 sensor could be around 4-5" long...

Yeah, here in Hawaii, we have decent gas 92 octane and no emissions testing...so I was able to go the 3.5" route. If I was back in Alaska...I would have gone with your setup 3" catted APS...can't go wrong either way. I tell you though, this 3.5" system screams! I also have a GT Spec II Header running with this...they work together very well...

^^^Oh, sorry man...didn't see that you were from here...

Does Vakamon have them? If it is the mechanical fix...it doesn't take much at all to install...

Just need to jack up the car, remove the 02 sensor, screw in the fix, then screw the 02 sensor into that...

BTW...the RS*R is awesome! Nice choice...did you think about getting an AP?

If you have the Mechanical fix...just look for an install day this weekend or set one up...there are soo many people here that would be glad to help you...

go to the meet this Thursday...should be a huge one due to the T-Shirt distribution...
