White Smoke!!

.....was wondering if anyone has had any headgasket issues with EJ25. I have a 05 sti stock. I started to get some white smoke in the am ... after warm up it went away. But now i let the car warm up anytime and i can see a fair amount of smoke out the tail pipe.? plus i have refilled my coolant resivior 3 times since i bought the car last july.

Im a toyota certified master technician.... so i would normally say headgaskets on a toyota. the sube is kinda new to me so any info on this condition normal or not would be great

thanks
Alex

You're probably guessing right about the white smoke being coolant. You're probably going to have to determine how the coolant is getting into the combustion chamber by performing a leakdown test. Is any of the coolant getting into the crankcase? Look for formation of light brown-colored sludge in the engine oil.

I've not heard of the EJ25 turbo being prone to head gasket problems.

i went to dealer....they couldnt duplicate the problem... No surprise. They didnt see any smoke so no leak down test. I will just end up diag myself at work or something when i have time.
thanks for the info... good to know that ej25's headgaskets are good!
