Exclamation HELP White Smoke!

I have a 04 wrx with 16000 miles on it, i have a catless up-pipe and downpipe, catback, pulley kit, intake, and bov... the other day i went for a long drive and when i got to my friends house and took the key out of the car and let the turbo timer take over i noticed a massive amount of white smoke pouring out of the exhaust....it doesnt do it while i'm driving that i can notice or when i first start the car, only when i'm shutting it off, i've had the upgrades for about 5 months now and it did it again tonight....Anybody have any suggestions on what it could be?
thanks

I think white smoke is water burning.

I had that happen on a previous car. It ended up being a headgasket. I'm not sure what yours could be but it is water/coolant that you're burning. I know its a pain but your best bet is to take off the mods and take it back to the dealer.

I've heard of blue or black smoke but never of white smoke. Can you take a picture? How bad is it? Maybe its cuz of the weather or something? Any performance difference?

the performance end of the car hasnt changed at all from what i can tell.... i thought that it was coolant burning i just was hoping that it would be something else, i guess i'm gonna have to take everything off and back to the dealer. can i keep the intake and bov on or will that void the warranty?

But after week it stop but once in while when i start up my car it would start blowing out white smoke and go away when the car is warm up. Tell me if this normal or there is something wrong with my car and do I need to get my car check up.

I'd take off the intake, bov and turbo timer. I wouldn't want go give them any excuse what-so-ever to void your warrenty.

The head gasket leak that I had was small enough that a compression test was unable to detect it. A leak down test might be better but again you're only seeing the white smoke when at idle with a warm engine.

I am having the same exact problem on my 03 WRX with a turboback and Cobb stage 2. It's at the dealer, and hopefully I know what the damage is tomorow. I was wondering what the outcome of Scoobykid04 was. Just want to know what I'm in for. Thanx.

This is incredibly bad advice, and I don't know why people on this forum continually repeat it. Trying to put your car "back to stock" and fool a dealer is a waste of time and potentially illegal; there is NO dealer mechanic on EARTH who wouldn't be able to recognize a modded engine at a single glance, even if stock parts have been put back on. Too many parts are changed, shifted or scratched/tweaked in the installation and removal stages; these leave "tracks" than any mechanic could identify. There's no way you will fool them, and getting laughed out of the shop isn't the best way to spend your day.

Well just to update, it turned out that I blew the seals in the stock turbo with 33,000 miles on the car. They replaced the turbo under waranty in one day Then I took a road trip, and just got back with no problems.

how can you tell if the seal is blown on the stock turbo. my situation is different, if i dont drive my car for about a week and start it up, white smoke would be coming near the turbo area. took it to the dealer 6 times and they still cant figure it out. so what kind of smoke should i expect if i go catless, blue, black white?
