Thumbs up exhaust

I have an 04 sti, the regular vishnu turbo back exhaust with a catalyst which I like because the tip is pointed straight just like stock. They also make a signature series exhaust which is a bit quieter but more money. Bolting the thing on was quick and easy and the only mod you have to do is reroute the wiring for the O2 sensor which is no big deal.

I also installed an APS turbo back system and that thing is nice as well. Nice bends and also keeps the tip straight so it looks stock. One thing I liked better about the APS is that you can unbolt the catalyst and bolt in a straight pipe but then you will get a bit of boost creep but more performance.

There are a lot of great exhausts out there, and best of luck with your search. I will give you one word of advice though. Spend the money now so you won't have to spend the money later redoing everything. Like they say, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Cheers!

I would agree. I put the aps 3-inch tbe with the dual tip (as not to look like I have an aftermarket exhaust) on and it has such a good sound. The performance increase was a very good addition too.

now i know this makes it sound bad, but i would really prefer a single tip. one that sounds good that's angled...say i took a different exhaust and welded a different muffler on it..probably wouldn't work huh..

I'm running eBay headers, gutted stock downpipe, and Perrin single tip catback.
Lower tone, which gets louder-than-stock.
The twin tip is louder, but not "Holy ****! That's Loud!" loud.

The headers give a tinny quality to the exhaust, which makes my Scoobie sound a little different.
