Are turbo timers universal?

dumb *** question and im almost positive the answer is no, but my buddy has an apexi turbo timer for his evo 8 that he wants to sell to me for a steal of a price but i cant seem to figure out if its universal or not, a quick google search doesnt give me an answer. i have a 2011 wrx

The unit is the plugs aren't usually. Plus our cars do not need it unless you're turbo requires it which our stock ones do not need the engine to keep running for a bit after driving. coolant+oil so.

thank you, i know they dont need it but for a stealer price might as well get it since i have a bigger turbo planned in the near future

Just get the correct connectors shoudl be fine. look on their site.

These cars really don't need a turbo timer at all. Cars from the 80s and 90s or completely custom might, but not stock subies from like the past 10+ years.

*edit, never mind I see you are planning larger turbo, but if the oil system is the same, I would imagine it still doesn't need it.

Yes you just gotta find the right harness or solder wires. In your case OP, you need the following HKS harness.

No problem get what Calvin just suggested to you via HKS, Although not needed atm with a bigger one depending on how the cooling is set up definitely. Since you're getting it for that... why not have something for later right?
