Safe mode heard of it?
i have a 06 sti with 3" bellmounth dp, hks hi power exhaust, cobb ap v2.
stage 2 ACN 91 octane....i've been noticing over this summer time car would boost only 10psi occasionally...then sometimes it will boost the full 17psi that it should on the cobb stage 2 map...i took it in to a local import shop, they called cobb tuning and they say sometimes the car would boost only 10psi to prevent motor from blowin or kkaaaabbooommmm! so i was wondering if anyone experience this issue? unless maybe because i live in the dessert and it gets so hott here maybe why i would have this problem...other than that my car runs awsome just boosted 10psi then boost 17psi....so i guess it's good i have cobb ap to detect motor from blowin unless it's stock on the suby's.

^^^ And this is why i-club is a joke for technical help.
Your car is pulling timing do to knock. It does this to prevent damage to your motor. You go into what's calld "Wastegate Boost" where there is no electronic boost control done by the ecu, it shuts it off until it sees safe levels again. Bad gas can cause this too. Go get a protune or at least data log it so you can see if it is in fact pulling timing from knock. Do this ASAP.
