Does anyone know how to enter the remote programing mode?
I have the optional alarm for the wrx and i wanted to add my extra remote. The thing is, i can't get into the programing mode. I followed the manual instructions bby switching from off to on twn times within 15 secs. or whatever and it still wont enter. Anybody know how?

I've been trying to do this for over a year now and have never been able to to it. I bought a remote on eBay and still have never programmed it. *sigh*

I just called Carlsen Subaru... they suggested after I unlock the car and get in I lock it with the door buttons and then start the key turning cycle.
Didn't work, either.

Jason, do you think its is not working because we have turbo timers installed? Every click of the ignition turns mine on which could possiblly interfere with entering the program mode.

fyi...
also note: cutting the ignition input wire off the keyless entry will
prevent any further reprogramming of new remotes until this wire
is reconnected.
also note: cutting the grey ignition wire off the subaru security
module will prevent you from manually disarming your alarm using
the method specified in the subaru security manual. you will need
to reconnect this wire temporarily and then proceed to manually
disarm your alarm
