is there something wrong with my 06 wrx

hey this is my first post. =)
i found this site browsing the net.

awesome site =)

i have this issue with my 06 wrx sedan. i have 800 miles.

when i am driving and depress the clutch, if i leave the car in gear, the tach needle will come down like normal to idle speed. If I depress the cluch and put it to nuetral before the tach needle drops down, the tach needle will go down like normal but then bounce back up to 1250rpm, then go down to normal idle speed.

can any else test this with their car to see if the same thing happens?

i have an 06 sedan.

thanks =)

i hope my car is not messed up

Nope. It's your third post! You have better things to worry about ~ like the cabbies down 5th! Your car is fine... do me a favor and take the Queens Bridge exit onto 2nd (1st? It's been so long ago) +10mph faster then me in my 74 BMW Tii. I will be sooo happy, you will be feel sooo strong and Manhattan will rock!

I think the answer is: the electronic drive-by-wire throttle in the '06es. When shifting, the throttle adds extra air to consume the left-over gas in the combustion chambers. It's probably related to emissions, too.

In my '06, I notice the RPMs jump up briefly by about 250 RPM in between shifts, even when my foot is off the gas.
