2006 WRX Sti
What I was thinking of getting:
1.Cobb Access Port or (my brother said i just have to buy the adapter for the computer to the ecu in the sti for $90, he already has the MAP for stage 1 & 2)
2. SS 3" Down-Pipe (from Cobb-Tuning.com)
--------------------
#1 Question: I can just bolt this right on to fit my stock muffler right?
#2 Question: Can I have a downpipe with no after market turbo back exhast and run on 92oct and upgrade to AP power stage 2?
I heard BOV arent good if you dont get it tuned and intakes are just a waste.

1.) The DP has a 3" flange so you may need to take it to a muffler shop to install a 3" flange on the stock catback to mate. Or better yet, check and see if they have a 2.5" to 3" adapter flange to mate the dp and exhaust.
2.) Yes you can go to Stage 2 with just a dp on your car.
SIDE NOTE: I have never heard of such an adapter to flash your ECU with an Accessport. APs are specifically tied to just one ECU and they must be the correct year for your car. Your brother will have to unmarry his AP from his car and then marry it to yours. You cannot have one AP married to two or more ECUs.

It don't work that way w/the AP. The AP has to be unmarried from the car its on. Yes you can unplug it, but that does not mean it will work on another one w/out putting the software back into it (unmarrying it & putting the initial car back to stock). How many AP's do you think they would sell if one could download maps into multiple cars? Alot less for sure. Plan on a used AP around $550.00.
Good luck w/your mods.
